Having out discussions in the cafeteria, my manager and me with his boy was dwelling on a lot of topics. “How to always tell everyone your broke” How women are freaks but insecure because of the double standard” Shit like that, but the main conversation that stuck in my head was how the dude explained how to tell shady folks. Using his father’s southern logic he summed it up in a simple sentence. “Never trust anyone who wont look you in the eye”
Now when I heard that at first what came to my head are 2 things. One a lot of insecure people don’t do that so how can you tell? And the second being that it sounds like pimp shit. Now to me that resembles disrespect since eye contact is not made and plus the fact that those who don’t, have a tendency to keep their conversation with you short. In the simplest of terms if they won’t do either; they don’t like the sight of you and anyone who looks like you for that matter.
As he was kicking this piece of game I got conscious and focused on his eyes more myself. The last thing I want to be viewed as by people who don’t know me as a shady muhfugga. Now I feel this can go in a total new direction depending on your situation. For example: at work. I learned the shadiest of people are the one who will smile in your face and then talk out their neck when you’re now in their presence. This is a facet that needs to be studied more. I’ll take it to heart regardless.

Wow! I will say this man. Up until maybe I was 22, 23, I had all kinds of trouble maintaining eye contact with people, and I definitely wasn't shady. And saying NEVER trust a person who doesn't do that may be extreme too. However, I will say that there may be some truth to it, depending on what kind of convo is being engaged in at that moment.
Ever heard of mimes? Little ticks that men and women give off when you know that they are lying. One of them is non-eye contact. Which is why everyone always says, "Look me in the eye and tell me that again." It's not called the windows to the soul for nothing. Alot of truth can be gained from an individual doing that. And so much lost for those who won't look another in the eye. Great Post Sinro!
