7 day recap

To look for a job relocating is looking more attractive right now. Yet I can’t leave until I settle some things like what should I do with all my comic boxes. What state will keep me working once I live there? Y’see the goal is to go where the cost of living is low and the demand for black men like me is high. (Heh) I have a lady friend in Denver and she’s told me already if I move there she’ll help me out. I appreciate that plus she fine enough for me to do it, even with her 3 kids. Gotta find something first though…

The police in my town are on some bullshit. Fuck them 4 real. The lil hoods are still shooting dice on my back porch and a brotha’s sick & tired of telling them to get off my property constantly. I went to the department and filled out a perimeter check for the building for 2 weeks. After I filled them out I expected them to come out ever hour or so. They still don’t do it and that bothers me. If there was a murder they'd be there lickety-split since homicides are all they respond to. I have to be built for bodies to get them to come around. hate this place.

I’m heading back to school in January, im glad about that.

To keep bills paid im back to Subbing, unfortunately there acting funny with my money and after 2 years with the district, cut $10 of my daily pay. I cram to understand. I do have an interview and a phone interview this week. I need all the good fortune I can get.

Game of the month: MK: Shaolin Monks

D'oh!

I may sound evil, but hearing this mess is straight comedy!

The school I’m subbing today had a small issue yesterday when the staff passed out fermented juices to the kids at lunch. Now, here’s where I feel the “Dee Dee Dee” comes in; the kids all took a sniff of the juice and even a sip and told some of the staff it smelled/tasted funny. Smart thing on their side to do, but even when the kids who spoke up were told not to drink it most did anyway. About 5 ambulances had to come about and carry some of the kids away because of there continuous vomiting. ABC even came out to give the play by play! lol. I have no real comment for this situation other than the question of who’s the true idiots? The staff or the kids?

Diggin a bigger ditch

Drinking away the pain with a bottle or Rum (Arrr...) saturday night, Left me with a sick as a dog hangover the next day. I dont even remember posting in my blog that night, Im definelty not drinking that much again. I know 2 people in my life (my brother & Katisha) will be pleased about that.

Pinned between a rock and a hard place is how I feel about this situation. The school district that I sub at all of a sudden deducted $10 off my daily pay. A fellow sub also got the cut and called the district on that ol’ give it back or I leave. I don’t blame him. When I saw my check I was floored because they have done the same to me as well. I was gonna let it go and throw it off as their mistake and let it slide. The depression within me loves to do that, yet due to my past the saying the “the door with the most squeaks gets the grease” never really worked for me. I was made the example by many supervisors/managers because of my take-charge attitude and being outspoken. I feel if I speak up it will be no different. I’m so tired of looking like the loser with no backing. I decided to fight it and called the district about it. At the same time in not going to give them an ultimatum since this shit is all I got right now.

I was pretty busy with interviews last week that looked futile to even go to and fucking with these temp agency pimps who love to tell you that there’s no work, yet my boys are receiving assignments like crazy. Damn, sorry for being a big black man who looks intimidating trying to get back into white collar when I’ve been labeled as blue collar. It’s been a good 2 years since I’ve worked professionally and a brotha’s starting to think he’s been blackballed in some way.

I still got the young niggas on my back door step shooting dice. The police refuse to do anything because its not a “real emergency” The policeman that gave me his card is never reachable. My mother claims to have paid for a new gate to be set up with steel bars to keep them out. There supposed to start next week and her excuse is that nobody pays their rent on time to act immediately. Phhht.

To ease my nerves I’m Rocking Ninja Gaiden Black. I may have to play ninja dog (Very easy)
Album of the week is Jungle Brothers – Done by the forces of Nature

Full Circle

I went through my url portfolio of the sites ive designed professionally and freelance. After removing the sites that are dead and those that are redesigned I was left with a good 3 sites that havent changed since 2000! Even though I should expected this I can truly say im down to square one again, with over 6 years of experience yet nothing new learned under my belt. Time to figure out where do I go from here since nothing else is working.

October 13, 2005

Gee, Thanks!

Another temp agency called me today to let me know that I was overqualified for their firm. thanked her for the call though.

My phone interview didnt fly as well. I got my rejection letter. I hate Phone interviews.

That loving embrace

snoopyhuggingwoodstock.gifHow’s that song go? “It’s in his kiss?” naw, it’s in her Hugs!
Since I already got into my dislike of French kissing I want to talk about something that I love to do.

My aunt Sheila loved to give me five minute bear hugs when I was younger and fatter. She wouldn’t let go till I told her I couldn’t breathe. Even though it wasn’t the truth it would make her laugh. Caught up with my cousin Bonnie after not seeing each other for 10 years she saw me and ran towards me hugging me and not letting go till I told her “OK! OK! I missed you too!”

There’s something about a good hug that makes me feel special. Yet it depends on how you give it. I learned how much I loved hugs with my first gf. She had a particular way of letting me know that she missed me. There was a good 2 weeks ago we were apart I wan on vacation with my fam and then once I got back she was busy doing her thing with her fam. One day she called me and told me she was heading to “The Taste” and I asked her if should cop for me a slice of Eli’s double chocolate brownie cheesecake. The next day the door opened and there she was stopping by with the slice. With a big grin on my face I took the slice and lowered to give her a good peck on the lips goodbye. When I did that, all of a sudden she sprung in my arms to kiss me and I caught her by her legs so she wouldn’t fall. We kissed as she bear hugged me and then she headed on her way to her parents car. When she did that I felt like I was the fucking man! I felt that for her to be so affectionate really showed she cared for me. I appreciated that.

It was then that I felt I could judge my relationship with others by their hugs if we were on that level. If a female gave me a bear hug they to me that meant they really cared for me. A few of my friends who were petite would do the spring hug that my ex used to do. I love that shit! It’s like how men judge each others in their handshakes, I guess. A hug is also the only sign of public affection I’d gladly give in front of other people. I’ll put my arms around you faster than I’d hold ya hand (Yeah I got plenty issues. Lol)

In first dates a hug is how I can tell if the lady is interested in seeing me again. Of course I know its a awkward situation but the initial action help me know and get a feel if I was appreciated and also find out if she uses one arm (iffy) one arm with open hand (BAD) Both arms (your in there) both arms open hands (she needs time), was it long or short? Did she cling tightly? Did she give you a simple pat on the back? I encourage you to try and see how the nearest female hugs you in your life and then watch how she hugs others.
In my life the only female to ever give me the lightest hugs is my mother. Ironic twist ain’t it? Anyway all I’m saying is in a relationship you never know how much the other will do or go to be down with you and to me Hugging is a way that helps me.

Tried by Three

I finally got my judgement on a ticket that I tried to fight and the so called officer was there. A word to the wise about fighting tickets: if the officer is there make sure you get a good look of his face and name before you drive off. I knew the cop wasnt the one who pulled me over but i couldnt prove it. Guess i gotta go pay my guilty fine.

Props to...

2005_sports_sox_logo.gif Its about time to see A team from the Chi come out and represent. It's also a special treat to see my southside White sox make it to the World series! Y'know I truly felt the cubs would get this far faster than they would. I guess the fact we have no 1908 curse to worry about (heh).Although there are still those who claim Cubs till they die, it makes me wonder if we had only one baseball team like our basketball and hockey teams would our city be so divided?
I realize alot of black folks in the hood dont feel baseball, I guess its because its a "white" sport. If its not Football or Basketball were not paying attention to it. Thanks to my fathers side of the fam who are baseball nuts im more receptive to it.

5 more games and we da champs! GO SOX! SOUTH SIIIIIIDE!

Aint this a...

The past 2 days i've been battling a Spy/malware virus through My firefox browser. The sudden popups havent shown themselves so I believe the coast is clear now. If i've learned anything is unfortunatly you cannot depend on just one program for spyware & viruses. Ive added more helper progs to keep them off.

My car lost juice In it to run i had it towed to pep boys where I needed a Flasher for my turn signal lights and a new battery. Now the bill is high mainly because they had to inspect the reason my lights didnt work. My moms offered to help before i could even ask her. The car set me back a bit i was supposed to finish up my finger printing at the police dept to sub at another district as well as get my results of my TB test. Money is too damn tight now to be choosy. I'm hitting another district while I handle the one im dealing with now.

my weekly wrapup

warr.jpg My new game addiction is The Warriors. It helps flesh out the characters and how they came to be. CANNNNNN YOUUUU DIIIG IIIIIIIIIT!

A pat on my back goes out to me for surviving a whole week without work & stretching $10 (7 went to gas, 3 went to Mickey D’s).

Another week went by without work again. I’m gonna fulfill the news schools wishes and get fingerprints done. It’s like whenever I apply at schools to be a sub they all ask for something different every time. Which reminds me i need to go back for my TB results. With my luck i'll have to do it again.

The gate is 90% done in the backyard and all are pleased. Yet the niggas are still coming from the one side, smoking and shooting dice. When the last part of the gate is done the trespassing should (reiterating should) stop.

Ol’ girl still emailing me thinking im not feeling her at all. I’m gonna have to gather what funds I got and take her out. I just wish I could be more financially secure before I hook up with someone.

The company that I took a test for hasn’t got back to me yet. Typical

I just met a family from Louisiana looking for a home. The parents had 9 kids and they wanted to live above me. To make things worse they reeked of urine something awful. The money they had to offer they could’ve at least washed up. I wish them the best.

Song of the week: Louis Logic - Idiot Gear

October 31, 2005

Spook this.

Wanna know what give me the chills? When 16-17 year olds go Trick or Treating with no costume. Ok, so that aint scary at all. Glad I didnt buy any candy anyway.

On another tip. While i'm gearing up to see SAW 2, a thought occoured about horror movies lately. I'm personally tired of all the Vampire & Zombie Flicks. Its time for another universal monster to be used: The WEREWOLVES. On my momma The right script and the franchise of werewolves could be back in action like it was back & the day. The Howling & Silver Bullet were by far the Best WW flicks we've seen so far.Honorable mention to flicks Wolf & American Werewolf in London too. If you dont include that old 70's flick "Who's the werewolf" (I believe thats what it was called) I feel since Marvel is going movie crazy they should try to do a Werewolf by night flick. Hell I'd gladly write it if it could be so. Yeah, we definetly need more Werewolf flicks. CURSED DONT COUNT, MAKE THAT SHIT RATED R!

Song of the Day: Ministry - Everyday is Holloween

Happy Devils Night!
